Tape In ExtensionsWe love tape-in hair extensions. They’re one of the newer types of extensions available and offer a natural and comfortable look. Although maintenance is fairly simple, daily upkeep will keep your extensions looking great for as long as possible. Below are 5 tips for those with tape-in extensions.

Use Quality Extensions

High quality extensions will look better and last longer. At XEX, we only use the highest quality tape-in extensions. If you are unsure of the quality of your extensions, we encourage you to ask your XEX stylist.

Have your Tape-In Extensions Applied by a Professional

Using a professional to apply your extensions is the only way to ensure that they will look and feel right. At XEX, our extensions experts receive extensive training in the application of tape-in extensions.

Below is XEX Senior Stylist and extensions expert applying tape-in extensions.

Press your Panels together Daily

Pressing your panels together on a daily basis will help the tape-in extensions bond last longer.

Dry Shampoo

Dry Shampoo is great for maintaining your hair’s shine. We recommend Aveda’s Shampure Dry Shampoo. Be sure not to use the dry shampoo around the panels though, as it can effect the bond of the extensions.

Stay Cool for 48 Hours

Skip the intense workouts for a couple of days after your tape-in extensions have been applied to give them time to bond. Excessing sweating can effect the bond.
